How do sprints work?

Sprints are short, measurable goals that turn vague ambitions into wins.

A sprint is a 4- to 12-week mini-goal with a measurable target. For example: "Squat 100 kg by 31 Aug" or "Lose 5 kg of body fat over 8 weeks".

To create one:

  1. Open the athlete → New Sprint
  2. Pick a metric (weight, reps, body fat %, distance, etc.) and a target
  3. Set a start + end date

Log the current number as it changes: open the sprint card and tap Log progress. You or the athlete can do it, and every entry is kept. The Sprints page then shows who is ahead, on pace, or behind. This lets you nudge athletes who are falling behind before they lose motivation.

Most sprints track themselves; the goal type picker marks each type as "tracks itself" or "logged by hand". A weight or body fat sprint moves with every weigh-in and body fat reading (the athlete's, the coach's or the weekly check-in); a strength sprint moves with the heaviest set logged for the lift in the sprint name or a new personal record, and never backwards past a logged best; run and distance sprints move with logged activities. Between two readings the card may show an estimate marked as such, with a Details link that says exactly what it was worked out from and who logged the inputs. A number logged by hand is treated as measured, replaces the estimate, and automatic tracking resumes from data logged after it. Custom, golf, swim and mobility sprints are always logged by hand.
