How does the fasting timer work?
It shows the time since your last logged meal and turns green from 12 hours on, with nothing to start or stop.
The Fasting row in Your day shows how long ago you logged your last meal. From 12 hours on it turns green and says In your window.
How it works
- It counts from the moment you logged your last meal.
- There is nothing to start or stop, and no fasting plan to pick.
- It only shows when you have logged a meal in the last 48 hours.
- The next meal you log starts it again from zero.
For a correct timer, log each meal when you eat it. A meal logged hours later makes your fast look shorter than it was. A meal Ava logs for an earlier day does not count here.
Good to know: ask Ava "how long have I fasted?" and she gives you the same number.
Fasting is not right for everyone. If you are pregnant, have diabetes, take medication or have had an eating disorder, talk to a doctor first.
