New on the map: run clubs and events near you

When we built the map, we were thinking of coaches. Then we listened. The places where people really train together often aren't gyms: a run club by the river on a Saturday morning, a bootcamp in the park, yoga on the grass.

What's new

Under Events in the app, you'll find everything near you where people train together, on a map or as a list. Each pin shows the day of the month the event takes place. You can filter by strength, running, cycling, yoga, Pilates, CrossFit and boxing, and with one tap you see only free events.

Each pin has its own colour depending on where it comes from: purple for a coach, green for the community and orange for groups that aren't on Fitiva themselves yet. So you can see at a glance where you can join directly:

With a coach

Join in the app

A coach on Fitiva runs the event. You join in the app and pay for a ticket online if there is one. At free events you can donate if the coach offers it.

Community

From organisers

A verified organiser from the community runs the event, for example a run club without a coach. You join in the app the same way.

No organiser

Suggested

Someone suggested the group, but it isn't on Fitiva itself yet. The listing takes you to the group's own channel, where you'll find the current times.

Know a run club that's missing? With a free account, you suggest it under Events, with meeting point, time and contact.

Why this matters for coaches

Community formats are the easiest way into a coaching relationship. Anyone who runs with your run club already knows you before they book a session. That's a different start from an ad.

That's why every coach on Fitiva can create events, on every plan:

  • Title, date, time, duration, meeting point and number of spots, on site or online.
  • Free, free with a donation or with a ticket that participants pay for online.
  • A flyer with a QR code and short link is created from the event details, in four templates.
  • You invite your athletes with one tap, and the attendee list keeps itself up to date.

For tickets, your plan's Fitiva fee applies: 5% on Free, 2.5% on Pro and 0% on Elite. Every card payment also carries Stripe's card fee, 1.5% plus €0.25 per payment. A free event costs you nothing.

Events for coaches

And Padel?

Courts and venues aren't on the map. It shows people: coaches you can book and events you can go to. You still book a court with the operator. If someone coaches Padel, they create a profile and give their sport its own name there. Booking, payment and plans work the same way for every sport.

What we learned

Two things. First: the map has to work without an account. Nobody creates an account just to see whether there's a run club nearby on Saturday. That's why you can open events and the coach search in the app without signing in.

Second: trust matters. Nobody should end up standing in an empty car park. That's why no suggestion goes on the map unchecked. Anyone who suggests a club in the app gives the meeting point, time and a contact for the group. We look at every suggestion and get in touch with the organiser to offer a free account.

Tell us what's missing

At launch, coaches and events are available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You can use the app itself anywhere, in German or English. If a format or a run club is missing, suggest it in the app under Events or write to us. We read everything.

Frequently asked questions about the map

Do I need an account to see the map?

No. You can open events and the coach search without an account. You can also buy a ticket without an account, with your name and email. To join a free event and to make a suggestion, you create a free account.

Who can create an event?

Every coach on Fitiva, on every plan, including Free. You train yourself and know a group that's missing? Then suggest it in the app.

What does an event cost?

For participants, the ticket price the coach sets, or nothing. At free events you can donate if the coach offers it. On tickets, coaches pay their plan's Fitiva fee (5%, 2.5% or 0%) and, for card payments, Stripe's card fee of 1.5% plus €0.25 per payment.

Are there events in my city?

At launch, coaches and events are available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The map shows you what's on near you right now.

Why can't I see any Padel courts?

The map shows coaches and events, not venues. You book a court with the operator.
